Slightly O/T - hair and Iodine colour fixation

Yes, it's official. I'm hooked on the colour of iodine. I started going grey when I was about 25, and for many years resisted the pressure to dye it. Then gave in. Two years ago I started using henna, and my hair was gradually turning red until... I started iodizing. Half the grey is gone,and henna only colours the grey hairs. Every time I look at the Lugol's in the glass I think "I want that colour in my hair". Funnily enough, when I started painting, very very shyly, I started on my scalp. This was before I got 'serious' - I was using tincture from the drugstore. I feel very tempted to 'dye' my hair with iodine. It won't turn blue because hair is acidic and Iodine turns blue with alkalyne, right?
PS. Increasing my Iodine makes me funny, I can't help it. I've noticed it each time. I will be all teary next week, when it kicks in.
