About a year ago, i bought a book called "The Fat Burning Diet" (the author is Jay Robb). I've been following his diet since then, and it's great. He recommends that you eat around 5 meals a day. All of the meals are low-carb, except the last meal of the day (which is high-carb). So the first 4 meals are protein/fat/fruits-veggies, and the last meal would be carbs/fat. So you would only eat your starches/grains at your last meal. The book even mentions colon cleansing, candida, food combining, etc. I never even knew what colon cleansing was, until i read this book! He says you shouldn't eat too much saturated fats, unlike those other low-carb diets that tell you to eat bacon, butter, etc. He's got a website - http://jayrobb.com/ . If you're gonna buy anything off his site, i suggest you buy the book first.
