Yes, I was around pigs..but not as much as the other animals...pigs scared me, especially when I had to get in their pen to feed them! I wonder about getting these from eating the pork though too? Round worm eggs stay in the ground a LONG time! yikes.

I had posted the picture of the tapeworm scolex on the Parasite Forum--(it was Oct that I got the two tapeworms) and I had never found out for sure what type they were--maybe I didn't really want to know for sure...Newport mentioned the Pork tapeworm..and said once they are killed, they still leave the cysts/infections that need to be cleaned up.

Maybe I should have listened to my mom when she told me to not sneak pieces of raw bacon and ham and eat them--I remember her saying something about getting tapeworms from eating raw pork...dumb things we do. Tweet
