Re: Silverfox or Biosafe
Catlin,
Just to elaborate a bit on half-life. Tom was quite right that it is the time it takes to eliminate one-half of a particular substance. Just in case anyone is unclear, that same amount it took to get rid of one-half, say 1 hour, then it will take 1 hour to get rid of half of the remaining half. Then, 1 hour to eliminate half of that....
So, it goes like this: 1/2, 1/4. 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64, 1/128.......
For each hour (the made up half-life) that substance is reacting, half of whatever still exists goes away.
Hour 1: 1/2 of total substance remains
Hour 2: 1/4 of total substance remains
Hour 3: 1/8 of total substance remains
And so on. I just want all to understand that if there is a half-life of one hour, the substance is not gone in two hours.
Catlin, this is great info to know when having to make decisions about prescriiption. I can typically get a better idea of how long the effects will last and if a blood level is maintained, it helps with that too. I just ask my docs. If they don't know, they always look it up.
Great question!
