Re: Simple skin cleaner?-Ideas From The Kitchen
Simple Cleanser-remove make-up, or cleanse very soiled skin with olive oil on a cotten ball or soft cloth. Splash with warm water.
Clean skin with a soft cotten cloth (like a worn T-shirt) soaked in milk. Rinse in warm water.
Use raw cider vinegar (diluted with pure water at first) to deep clean pores, and help restore skin's natural acid mantle to keep harmful bacteria a bay. Vinegar works well with acne, but do not apply full strength to raw or oozing skin.
Scrub for face-grind oatmeal in blender until fine. Moisten with water and rub over the face and neck. This gently exfoliates without scratching or drying.
For oily skin, rinse skin with warm water with some baking soda added.
To tighten pores and make skin glow smooth a raw egg white over skin and allow to dry. Rinse well with warm water.
Mix plain yogurt and a little honey for a mask that will make skin soft, smooth and glowing.
For dry skin, use almond oil for a moisterizer. Olive oil and sesame oil are also good. A single drop of lavendar oil in almond oil makes a soothing nightime moisturizer-do not get in the eyes.
Mix equal parts of castor oil and olive oil, use a drop on eyelashes to help them become thicker, and some claim longer.
an old mountain rememdy-boil potato peeling and fresh sage together until water is half as much (start with about a gallon of water). Rub this into scalp everyday to help gray hair regain its color. note from hopinso-I have never tried this, I just repeat something I have read. I have used all the other "recipes" and they do work quite well.
