I respect your advice about MMS (as I understand it's action). Sadly, I've also now assisted three people that have encountered MAJOR difficulties from the detox it can cause (if one's body hasn't been cleansed and restored to the point they can handle it)...one of those people I assisted had a very enlarged spleen and ended up in the ER with WBC of over 70,000...his body just couldn't handle the detox. :(

It (MMS) will work for cold sore virus (or any virus), but so will Echinacea, and so will Colloidal Silver...Echinacea without the possibility of ANY side effects (other than the rare allergic reaction to any plant/herb). I always recommend probiotics when using CS internally (as does Utopia, if I remember right), but in this thread it was not recommended internally (and is an excellent topical treatment)...so the possibility of any side-effects are virtually nill.

When one utilizes Echinacea to vanquish a pathogen, one ends up with a 'more educated' immune system, and some level (if not total) natural immunity to that particular pathogen for the rest of their lives. Using anything that simply kills, does not provide that...and it generally kills all kinds of other necessary living critters throughout the body.

I'm fundamentally an extremely 'natural' natural healer - I understand that many in the alternative field are not. To each his own choices and methods (and I certainly don't desire an MMS debate - CZ has a forum precisely for that). I just wanted to share the benefits of echinacea over the 'killer' products.
