iron deficiency anemia and lifting fingernails

My sister has had an iron infusion recently due to severe anemia (RBC was 26). Now she tells me that several of her fingernails are lifting from the free edge to the cuticle. There is no discomfort, discoloration or distortion of the nails. Does anyone know if these two issues can be related? Thank you! Tweet
