Detox

When you are water fasting, detox symptoms show up quicker and faster then if you were juice fasting. Mine usually show up about day 6 or 7. It also depends when the last time you fasted as well and how you lived your life style.

It has been since Lenten of 2006 since I fasted really well. So I will probably detox hard and I guess I am dreading it. But I know my body will feel so much better after I am done.

I am glad that I am able to help you have some strength. I was wondering if I could be to help to anyone while posting my fasting journey. It does help me to post here since none of my friends know that I am fasting. Only one person would understand, but other then here, I am just keeping it between me and God. By posting here, it helps me not want to blab about it when i am going to be going through so many changes.

Keep it up! You CAN do it. Each day will be easier then the next. It is the just the detoxing that will make you feel horrible. But remember if you start eating again at the detox stage, you will just be stopping a very good process, which is the cleansing of your body. Try to stick it out if you can. It will be hard at times, but just take it an hour at time if you have to. And tell youself "I will eat again" because you will. You are just not eating now, and with a very good reason and purpose. You are allowing your body to focus on healing ohter parts of your body and using up all the excess fat and flushing out that bad, by using the energy that is normally used in the digestion process. Now you are processing any food, you body uses that excess energy to give your body a spring cleaning. It is really great once you have gotten to about the 15 or 16 day. You will feel like a new person. Of course everyone is different and so it might be sooner or later with you. Still try to enjoy the process, it can only do you good in the long run.

Good luck with your beach school. It sounds like it would be fun. Again, Keep it up. You CAN do it. Just take it slow and one day at time. You will be surprized how now the days will go by and you went so far with your fast. The first 3 days are the hardest, once you have gotten that fast, the detox might be a bit hard, but the hardest is over. You are on the roll now!

:o)
