Hi - I've just found this website - I'm in the UK and my 6yr old daughter was diagnosed with LS about a year ago. Actually I diagnosed it after much mis-diagnosis from many doctors. After lots of research on the internet I discovered LS and knew straight away that it was what she has. The poor little mite would scream in pain when she was urinating and she had a strange mark all around her genital area. She itches and burns all the time. We were given about 6 or 7 courses of Antibiotics as they were convinced she had infections - all of which I'm sure have made her more ill. When we finally got referred to a dermatologist she confirmed that it is LS but basically says we will have to use steroid creams on her for the rest of her life which I am not happy about. I do use them when I have to as they do seem to help and I can't bear to see her in pain but I am always looking for something natural to use. So I just wanted to say thank you - I have ordered some of the purple emu oil and I can't wait to start using it on her. Does anyone have any other suggestions with regards to possible therapies - I'm thinking of maybe taking her to a homeopath, naturopath or herbalist - has anyone had any success with LS with any such therapies. It is the most awful disease and I hate the fact my little girl has it. She is a really sensitive, shy little girl and this has affected her so much - she literally just told me it makes her sad when it hurts - heart breaking :( Tweet
