Distilled water has good taste

I recently got a distiller because I plan to do another Water Fast soon now all my Amalgams have been replaced.

The first thing I noticed was how much better the water tastes.
The second thing I noticed was the dirty brown (clear honey coloured) water and scale that is left behind in the boiler afterwards and that was using (Brita)filtered water that had only had 2 days use!
So I am pretty unimpressed with the local water suppliers ability to do their jobs properly.
I am pleased that the chloride and fluoride content is minimised with the distiller and I now really notice the chlorine smell is quite strong from the tapwater (midlands, UK)
