QUESTIONS ABOUT PTREE'S DIET...
Several of you expressed an interest in my diet while on the colon cleanse...here you go:
When I did my first
Colon Cleanse (Holistic Horizons...no bentonite...about 6 months long...LOADS of plaque!) I was on a very strict candida diet...protein and low-carb vegetables. Period. I was on this diet for about 3 years...not even fruit, 'cept lemons. And positively no sugar. I had a very severe case of systemic candidiasis and also developed chronic fatigue syndrome and multiple chemical sensitivities. This was about twelve years ago. I did eat mucoid-forming foods ie. foods with a face and cheese. I did many different things to address these conditions and my health would improve, but then I would plateau. The
Colon Cleanse was absolutely the most dramatic improvement of anything that I did and resolved most of the lingering problems that remained.
My diet is no where near as restricted as it was during the first cleanse. Now I can eat just about anything and do fine as long as I don't over-indulge. My foundation diet is still quite good...lots of vegetables, quality protein (I still eat meat and have found that my body responds very well to beef), some fruits, less grains, little dairy (butter and cheese now and then). But I do eat pizza or a pastry or chocolate now and then...*gasp*...and I also like good wines. Life is to be enjoyed, too!
I have done several
Colon Cleanses since the initial one. I found that psyllium and
Bentonite released mucoid plaque faster than any other cleanse...although I plan on doing the Holistic Horizons cleanse again and adding
Bentonite to it...probably in the spring. I've done
Colon Cleanses with
The Master Cleanse with good results. I've done them when eating my current diet including the indulgences and still had pretty good results...probably a slower progression, though. When I started
colonics a few years ago I discovered that they increased the speed and effectiveness of the
Colon Cleanse so now I add them to the mix.
No matter what your diet is like, you can benefit from the psyllium and
Bentonite cleanse.
