I don't think you understood her point about you and malaria. Marlaria was cured in hours or a few days depending on which version of Humble's tale one reads, which means it knocked out a tough little bug very quickly. So, why would it take so long to knock out your bugs or whatever you're trying to get rid of. Why not three days.

And yes, that makes logical sense.
