Re: PTree: about salt water and getting rid of plaque
Hi Steven,
I know others consider the
Master-Cleanse to be a
Bowel Cleanse as well, but I do not agree. I've done rounds of both and...while they are both beneficial...they do not accomplish the same things. You may experience a bit of mucoid plaque released while on any of the cleanses, but never in the quantity as you will when doing a colon cleanse. Psyllium and
Bentonite is one of the best ways to expel this material. The Ultimate Fast is a combination of the
Master-Cleanse and a thorough colon cleanse. You won't get much if any plaque on the
Master-Cleanse alone.
You're right...I'm not real keen on using salt flushes...sea or epsom...except on occasion ie. liver flush. Generally, water is absorbed by the bowel into the body to assist with hydration. When a higher concentration of salt is introduced water is drawn into the bowel from the body and can result in dehydration and electrolyte imbalance if done too frequently. This also results in a more rapid transit time and the material removed is generally the newer fecal waste. Psyllium and
Bentonite needs to work its way through the GI tract so that toxins can be absorbed and the fiber can sweep the loosened material from the walls. If a salt water flush is done the p&b moves more rapidly through the intestines and may not be as effective. And I really discourage the use of herbal laxatives because of their weakening effect on bowel tone. Enemas or
colonics are a safer and better way to clear the material from the colon.
