Canadians about to lose their freedom of health choices?

I recieved a newsletter from Dr. Mercola and one of the subjects he listed was about Vitamin C becoming illegal in Canada. Link for article:

I've recently heard about CODEX and understood through efforts of a Dr. Rima Laibow, and others, that their organization had made some progress in slowing CODEX'S agendas. After reading the details from the website about bill C-51, I'm asking myself, is this for real, and what is the possibility of this actually happening here in the US?

According to the Canadian bill, their government will be allowed to imprison you for up to two years and fine you up to $5,000,000.00 if you are caught growing, preserving, or sharing an unregistered natural health product. They show on the site garlic and vitamins, so does this mean it would be illegal for you to grow your own food? I remember seeing a website about brocolli sprouts (link:

where they wanted to put a patent on brocolli sprouts, trying to make it where it would be illeagal for people to grow brocolli! Can you imagine all the vitamin shops, natural food stores, and would this also involved farmer's markets that would have to close? Would we, as a nation actually let the government take this away from us, or will it only be a matter of time before our health freedoms are gone along with all of our other freedoms?
