does anyone know if ionic footbaths do detox the body?

I have read that they are a fake..and then others say the different colours in the water indicate detox from liver..gallbladder ...lymph etc..

just cannot find the correct forum here to ask..so thought I would ask liver forum as you are all detoxing here!
