Here is the website and excerpt I told you about..it explains the connection between lack of magnesium and overload of aluminum...
"And if you are still skeptical of the importance of magnesium, I suggest you read the following:
http://www.mgwater.com/dur30.shtml
While most symptoms which are directly due to a magnesium deficiency are reversible, magnesium deficiency indirectly causes problems that may not be reversible. "With a high aluminum diet alone, aluminum content in the nervous system in rats showed no difference with a control group aluminum serum aluminum was high.
(!!!)However, with an insufficient intake of magnesium the same aluminum load induced an increase in aluminum and calcium concentrations in the nervous system and neurodegeneration with precipitation of insoluble hydroxyapatites." Combined aluminum intoxication with calcium-magnesium deficiencies is not reversible through physiological oral magnesium supplementation. (!!!)
And also from that web page: "nervous consequences of magnesium deficiency" ... "are completely reversible since they can be restored to normal with simple oral physiological magnesium supplementation but it should also be pointed out that a prolongation of untreated chronic magnesium deficiency can produce irreversible lesions with histological changes."

As you can see, I was forced to do alot of research! Excess aluminum really can make your brain foggy, so don't wait a lifetime for it to continue to build up.
As I said, I REALLY recommend magnesium orotate. I started with over 3000mgs per day and also took it whenever i felt heart issues, then worked down from there when I felt my tissues were saturated ( takes awhile with mag). It doesn't cause any stomach upsets as it is assimilated very well. I buy it from Vitaminshoppe.com. brand "advanced research/nutrient carriers". However DON'T buy "general research labs"; didn't work at all for me! And the KAL brand is way too cheap to convince me it is true orotate.
Good luck and let me know if this and HA helps you. You're still young enough to turn this whole thing around.
