Amalgams and Thrush...

I was extremely sick with Candida in 2005...since that time I have greatly improved and now feel great, except one symptom remains:a white-coated tongue. It will fade from whitish to pinkish(much better than when I was really sick). I was wondering in my Amalgam fillings could be helping the thrush hold on in my tongue(same vicinity)...should I have my Amalgams removed and what are the odds my tongue would get all pink again????
