I know this is an old thread, but can't resist. It's obvious that there was an eating disorder underneath, or she would have fed her kids nutritious vegan food. Being vegan(or a good vegetarian, for that matter) entails eating from the harvest of foods on the earth, whole grains, fruits, veggies, nuts. Along with having an eating disorder, and obviously afraid of food, even vegan food, I'm sure she was lacking in actual information on health guidelines. People can't just decide to limit their diets and say it's because they are vegan, when they fail to eat the nutritious foods vegans are eating. Veg*n is more than what you don't eat, it is also choosing a healthy lifestyle, which she missed far enough to kill one of her children :*( Tweet
