Although garlic is toxic to cats and onions toxic to both dogs and cats, garlic in no way harms dogs.  I have given garlic to my dogs for years with absolutely no ill effect.  In fact, it enhances their health and............  It is an excellent way to control fleas.  Much better than using that tube thing from the vet that contains who knows what and costs an arm and a leg.
