Ovulation is not always around the 14th day. My husbands sister was persistant that we had to try to get pregnant 14 days after I had started my cycle. I fought him and his sister's logic for 3 years. As it turned out I was right! Why? Because I ovulate twice per month. The 10th and 17th days after starting my cycle. The doctor confirmed it by ultrasound and blood testing. This changed my husbands mind and he realized that I am the one he needed to listen to since it is my body. I got pregnant within 4 weeks.
