hi ahr,
i had a biopsy twice, the first one was in 97 and the 2nd was in 2007 and the result was about the same.
the lab report says : CHEILITIS RECEIVED A TISSUE MEASURING 0.5cm, THE MUCOSA SHOWS REMARKABLE ACANTHOSIS WITH PROMINENT PALE CELLS. HYPERKRATOSIS AND BACTERIAL COLONIES ARE SEEN ON THE SURFACE. NO ATYPICALITIES ARE FOUND.
this is the 97th report in Houston, Texas medical center and the 2nd was about the same in 2007 in ISRAEL, and according to the two reports, they said that it is considered the skin is NORMAL, neverthless, it is not normal, and they could not find the problem but i didnt gave up with this, again i am suppose to see a group of dermtologists in different hospital(one of the best) in 3 wks time and i will see what they say. one derm already said that the option is SURGERY.
