When it is above (I believe this is accurate temp.) 73 degrees, it becomes liquidified. Here in Michigan, in the summer, it becomes liquid. I choose not to put it in refrigerator. It really is a personal choice.
If you are trying to use it while solid, you can put it in hot water...the container and let some melt and use it or put it in your mouth and let it melt. Presuming you are just 'eating' a tablespoon of it.
If you want it on bread, like butter, whichever way works for you...solid or liquid and spread it.
