Re: Polygraphs are a walk in the park for Sociopaths which are 1/25.
Thats a lot of good info. It was difficult to avoid noticing that among the common theme mentioned is the proclivity for particular employers - especially private interests and those in & around government operations, prefer the use of this machine because of the notion that "they think the test will frighten away liars and cheats who are seeking jobs, or it will frighten confessions out of those accused of wrongdoing". This gets back to the point I made with the speculative study.
At least on paper, theoretically, the common people are collectively the employer of their elected government officers. As such and given the popularly maintained credentials of this lie detector gadgetry, one must wonder why it has not already been well established as SOP that any and all candidates for public officer must submit to a scan, before they are elected, and for the winners, ongoing while they are serving their term on behalf of the public trust.....all for the purpose of filtering out the worst of worst of cheaters and liars seeking public office, of course :)
Increasingly over the recent decade or two, it has become common place worldwide for the wide spectrum of professional athletes (and some amateur / college as well) to submit to random "drug testing". If this is a worthy standard of measure of those (the players on the field, as it were) for those who are the main draw that helps to generate mega $$ by way of fandom, it seems fitting that those players on the collecting / payout end of those $$ ..... in the back-office boardrooms .....and box officers and such..... like bankers, judges, politicians, police, military folk (especially brass, intel spooks, and establishment type merchants in organized medicine, education and
Science (to include agriculture) and, last but not least, monopoly media folks, should be required to submit to deception scans on an ongoing basis. Furthermore, this particular endeavor would be especially well suited to apply the standard of zero-tolerance.
How soon does one suppose this can be introduced at the national level as a ballot-box referendum?
