I have been taking DHEA for many years and have not noticed any difference.

Here is my story. I am 25 year old guy who has had peeling lips since I was 8. I remeber getting chapped lipis in winter which got worse after licking. I peeled the dried skin until it bleed....never heeled since.

I was also diagnosed with lupus when I was 17. Lupus patients have low DHEA. I had mine checked by my doctor 5 years ago and it was around 3-4 times lower than normal. I supplimented and I have been above normal to normal range now... no difference as far as I can tell....same peeling as I was a child.

If anyone thinks there is a connection with lupus and lips well I have investigated and came to the conclusion that these are two different seperate conditions because: I had lupus symptoms a decade after lips problem, I visit one of the world leading lupus research clinics in london and they have never seen this in lupus patients, i have been to every lupus forum on earth and no other sufferer has had this and also my lupus is fluctuated frome worse too good ( i am now in remission) and the condition of my lips never changed during these times.


Anyways internal DHEA has had no effct on my lips.....however I have not tried topical application. I will do so.


Beware, DHEA is a serious hormone although people think otherwise since it is pushed like candy in suppliment stores. If you have prostate problems, or if you are female and have problems with breast or reproductive system or any other problem due to abnormal production or exasperated by testosterone or eastrogen consult your doctor as DHEA can raise these hormones significantly. My testorone shot throught the roof after taking this.
