RAVE - real flower kalaidoscope

went to this art fair today and saw the coolest thing. a guy built these circular flower pots that spin around an axis. then he mounted a stationary kalaidoscope lens that looks directly down into the flower pot. you look thru the kalaidoscope lens and then turn the flower pot, and its the actual flowers themselves that create the different patterns inside the kalaidoscope!! (did i explain that okay?)

its absolutely the coolest thing!! instead of just different kinds of colored grains, you see all these gorgeous flowers falling into each other and colliding and exploding in the lens! beautiful. so, who wants to donate $2,500 to me so i can buy one? Tweet
