No appropriate forum for this question..this forum is closest.

I have a suspician that if someone at only the age of 32. who is probably of a low body weight is diabetic from age 12, does not have periods..is actually suffering from malnutrition.

Apart from having an emotional cause..there is no doctors diagnosis of any other hormonal problem..

This person is macrobiotic..but whatever diet or food regime people are slaves to, I happen to think she may need to include a small amount of red meat in her diet..this can help bring back the menstrual cycle.

She apparantly takes many very excellent supplements, but if the body does not have sufficient weight or nutrition ..I know the periods can cease.

It could be that she does have an eating disorder..but I am not aware of this.

ANy thoughts?

AJD
