Epsom salts is about dialating the bile ducts to allow large stones and/or clumps to pass.

If you aren't comfortable with HC protocol, I recommend that you find a flush that has a dialative that works ok for you.  There are folks here that have had gallbladder surgery from flushing with no dialative.
