Keeping it in a cool, dark place is all that is required. Jim Humble says that even the refrigerator light can have an effect on the potency. If you are uncomfortable with your "cool, dark" places, you could wrap the bottle in aluminum foil, to keep the contents dark, and keep it in the refrigerator.
