what this can possibly mean

Hello!

This is my first time on this forum, I'm bananna from Montreal, QC. I lost my father 2 years ago and had a hard time and still have a hard time getting over it. He often comes to see me in my dreams and its my way to keep a certain link and be connected to him. I accepted this and moved on a while ago but I do miss him very much still and will always do.

I sometimes get these messages, smells like his cigarette smoking which we always smelled here and its the same smell that comes on and off, but there is one particular sign, if anyone can help me to tell me what this could mean (I cannot for some reason figure out what this could mean), I'd appreciate it.

For some reason for several weeks, my hubby (he knew my dad very well for the last 18 years since weve been together), keeps waking up at the same time 2h50 in the morn and become wide awake. WHen dad passed away, there was something magical that happened here and this has happened to my hubby only at the time of dads departure. For over two weeks he seems to be reliving the same thing...waking up at the exact time my dad left and in one shot, eyes wide open and cannot fall asleep.

Is there something my dad is trying to tell him? This hasn't happened to him since the time of my dad's passing, and now its like as if he's living it over and over, about 3 weeks I'd say.

Can anybody tell me what my dad is trying to tell my hubby? if anything or there is nothing significant? I do truly believe he is trying to send a message cuz he usually gives me signs an comes to me and my mom in dreams but my hubby only has had the experience of the odor of the cigarette.
