Women in Male donimated jobs
I work in Maintenance, a predominately male orientated profession, hey I've earned respect in my job took me 5 years but I earned it....
Problem #1 I had a problem on a tool that the cooling plate sensor wasn't lighting.... So I ordered one,,, the natural course of events... I pulled out the sensor on the tool and "whoa and behold it bumped tool EMOd it and down for 8 hours... "found problem the sensor failed earlier,,, Maintenance did not want to waste time and work a little harder so he Soldered half the new sensor on tool.... Without heat tubing to protect soldering, so I come along fat dumb and happy thinking "these guys know what they are doing" RESULT:::: I took the soldered wire to my boss and said,, this is what put the tool down for 8 hours not my replacing the part..... My boss hung it in his office til they got the point....
Last nite: a robot having a problem,,,, Left it for me to find... Hey all you have to do is run monitors and see what happens, well what happened was the robot would not extend at all... Thanks BW after about 6 hours found that they had round screws on the handler instead pf flat screws (recessed) gave it to the day shift and asked "whats wrong with this picture" He had the decency to look guilty.
See what happens in the morning... I know "The mag is at the tool... Didn't get a chance to do it... 80, gee I can't figure it out, 87 we don't have the chip.... and ooooh by the way 87 is having pressure problems...
Got at least my boss is a former maint tech and he knows the excuses;;
