Re: Women and women in business

Our business is male oriented. We have three female sale reps and the office clerks are mostly women and the managers men. The younger women that used to work in the office were very catty and fought all the time. I think partly due to immaturity and well.... men. They were all single they seemed to be in some sort of competition. The women that are here now are all around the same age and work together very well. While the men continually cause problems. Egos!!! It always seems to be the women that pick up the slack and cooperate with not only each other but everyone else.

The President of the company is a woman and she is very cool. She has a tendency to let things slide, maybe too much, but I think her philosophy is if it's not broke you don't need to fix it. As long as the company is making a profit she doesn't rock the boat too much.

We did have a woman that came in as a middle manager and she was determined to run things HER WAY. She was also planning on firing everyone in her department and bringing in her own people. She was a real B#*@%. She lasted two weeks. Tweet
