Entrepreneurs

I have always thought of myself as an entrepreneur, but have yet to get anything off the ground. It really takes some guts! I'm impressed by those who have taken the plunge.

But I really wanted to turn you all onto this book. When I was close to forming my own business, this book stopped me in my tracks! I was thinking about the business in all the wrong ways.

A must read is E-Myth Revisted by Michael Gerber.

Gerber was a hippy who ended up working as a managerial consultant. He is one of the most sought after consultants in the country. He specializes in franchises.

He is so refreshing. This book is a uncomplicated, fast read. He simply breaks down all the facets a person needs in order to run a successful business.

His first example is a woman who bakes pies, and owns a pie shop. She is now dreading every day, more than when she worked for others for a living. Gerber very systematically breaks her business down into easily understood areas of discipline.

I strong urge anyone who has ever thought about going into business for themselves, to read this book first. It's an eye-opener.

Peace, Molly
