Please help! New to the whole tongue cleaning thing.

How many times do you all clean your tongue a day? After every meal? What if you eat 6 times a day...sore tongue? lol I read it should be at least twice a day...but like right after I eat there's white stuff all over my tongue again. Especially if I'm nervous then my breath is REALLY bad. So you guys just carry your tongue cleaner around with you everywhere in your pocket?

Also, what's the trick to get the way back of your tongue without gagging? I simply can not do this, which sucks because I read the back of your tongue is how people smell your breath. So I did the whole "stick your finger on the back of your tongue and smell it" test...and it smelled like feces. I assume that is bacteria from rotten food that I just can't scrape off.
