protopic gave my lips a slight burning sensation when i applied it. it felt odd an uncomfortable. when water came in contact it burned even more.

after about one $70 tubes-worth of use, it made my lips slightly better while i was on it. but after getting off the topical i noticed that buying another tube would not be worth it. unfortunately, the peeling spread to other parts of the lips after i came off the topical. only bottom lip used to peel, but for some reason it spread to my upper lip. i think this was a reaction to getting off the med. it created a dependency.
