Re: Distilled Water

Hello #97202,
it is a fallacy to believe that distilled water leaches organic minerals from the body.

There are those who agree and disagree about using distilled water for drinking water, but the fact remains that distilled water removes all of the impurities that are found in almost all other water sources. This includes all germs, viruses, chemicals, organic chemicals, pesticides, heavy metals, diluted minerals, and taste and odor causing contaminants.
Time and time again, distilled water has been proven effective at removing harmful wastes and cleansing the system of any impurities.

Distilled Water has been boiled, and therefore free from dissolved inorganic minerals which it contains, unless you like your source of calcium ,for example, to be from calcium carbonate from quarried marble-stone (try eating that directly)!!!

Those opposed to drinking distilled water point to the fact that all the natural minerals, as well as harmful chemicals, are removed from the water. While removing chemicals is obviously beneficial to your health, many are wary of drinking water that is devoid of all the natural minerals your body needs in order to operate efficiently; BUT, these minerals are directly from rocks or from the subsoil and are therefore "inorganic" and not bioavailable to the body. Most people don’t seem to realize this, but you actually receive the vast majority of vitamins and minerals you need through your food, which contains minerals that have been metamorphosed by plants into an organic form, and therefore beneficial & bioavailable to the body.
Edible vegetation is the only reliable source of bioavailable and organic minerals.

Mercola is definitely wrong on this one, as there is much scientific proof that distilled water is the very best source of water for any animal (including your cat).

Fruit and vegetables also contain water that has been distilled by the plant itself. Rain-water in its ideal form (before passing thru a polluted atmosphere) has also been distilled by nature, thru the process of evaporation, condensation and then precipitation.
In addition, Natural Hygienic Doctors have always preferred the use of distilled water for fasting patients and only received benefit from it......as I have.
