hi, this is from a site i just looked up, but i had read before in another site about rashes and castor oil. "It is important to clean the area well after the pack. Use soap and water, this will remove the toxins when you are done with the pack. A lot of people will get a rash when they don’t wash the skin carefully. What has happened is that toxins were pulled out by the oil in the pack and deposited on the surface of the skin. This caused a skin irritation.
