hair analysis results-opinions wanted
I just had a hair mineral analysis done by Analytical Research Labs. I would like to share the results with you, as well as my treatment protocol, and see if anyone has any opinions. I would really like to hear about what other people are doing who are in a similar situation.
My CA level is 142, which put my Ca/MG ratio at 35.5 (normal is 6.67) and my Ca/K ratio at 142 (normal is 4). A very high Ca/K ratio is indicative of being hypothyroid, so my doc put me on bladderwrack extract, 1 dropper a day. Bladderwrack is a form of algae and is a good source of iodine.
My Na/MG ratio is 0.5 (normal is 4.17). I was told that a Na/MG ratio below 1 indicates adrenal insufficiency. For this, my doc put me on a solid extract of rosehip, siberian ginseng, and licorice.
Of all of the nutrient minerals, I am below ideal in all of them except copper and CA. My doc told me that CA is knocking on the doors of my cells, but it cannot get in because Mercury and Aluminum are occupying the receptor sites. I also have copper toxicity (level is 4, ideal is 2.5). My copper toxicity may be due to the adrenal insufficiency.
I am currently taking Camu Camu powder, which is a vitamin C powder. I am taking 1 tsp two times a day, which is equal to 4,000 mg of vitamin C. I hear that camu camu is absorbed very easily, and is one of the best sources of bioavailable vitamin C. I am also taking 2 tablespoons of E3 LIVE Brain On. This is a frozen algae extract w/ lots of minerals. I was told that these two products will help chelate out the toxic metals.
Does anyone have any advice or comments?
