I've been using magnesium, but only as needed (once RLS starts). While magnesium works instantly, I'm going to up my water intake and see if it works in not ever getting the symptoms to begin with.
You mentioned an electrical discharge in your legs. I haven't taken the time to look it up, but for about the last week and a half I've had intermittent vibrations in my right leg and foot. Feels like a cellphone that's set to vibrate is on my leg or foot. Happens at various times too. It will be just one quick vibration and then it's over, but I'm wondering if it's the same sort of thing you described and if it has anything to do with RLS.
