It all makes sense... this happened to me too!

I had my IUD put in 4/07 to basically stop my cycle because it was so messed up. Right off the bat I had severe, crippling cramping and horribly disgusting discharge. I was put on Antibiotics and it seemed to improve but not completely resolve. Not even one day did I go without having at least two episodes where I had stabbing pain shooting down my leg. I started having these headaches and arthritic type joint pain in my hips. I didn't even think about all of it being associated with that damn Mirena, until I stumbled upon this website! Everything that was going on with me suddenly made sense! That was my final straw, I have wanted it out for months and just didn't have insurance. (My doc charged me almost $1500 to have it put in, luckily I had insurance then!) I took the thing out myself! And within minutes, I felt the bloating feeling was going away. I also had weight gain, which is really frustrating because I was losing weight really well until I had the IUD put in. Now that it is out we are TTC, anyone have experiences for TTC post IUD? Or any other advice? We have been ready for a while now, but how rough is it going to be in the coming months? I have a really hard time with ANY form of BC. Anything with hormones makes me really sick, which is why I am surprised that my GYN recommened this to me... any info would be really great! Tweet
