Re: Exercise After the Cleanse? Oh Yeah!
Hi,
It's great you are looking ahead. Smart!
Not sure how long you are going to MC...
the best rule of thumb for me is to remember that during a fast / cleanse
my body's metabolism slows dowwwn. It takes awhile to get purring again.
I think it's important to exercise , logically, during the MC, along with
heavy stretching...yoga is ideal, and cardio. Most folks are taking in only
1200 (or less)calories per day here, so really go easy.
If you are going ten days then you should be at full speed in a week or so.
I like to fully recoupe for about half the time of the cleanse prior to going
back to a routine or increasing/changing one, though exercise moderately during the post cleanse recoupe period.
As for food, I suggest highly, for everyone, to consider reading the
'Eat Right for Life' books by D'amato, based on your blood type.
I started 1/1 and going to give it a try for this year...so far I like it, and the
foods I really craved, of course, are the ones for my blood type(O+) to avoid. One month into it I lost all cravings for potatoes, corn, wheat products. Having MC'd
numerous times, I find that going cold turkey on BAD food , habits, etc... is
so much easier. I don't know if D'Amato's books are right on or not, though I think
it makes sense and worth a year of my life giving it a shot. What the hay! Rice
pasta is tasty!
It is very easy, post cleanse, to slip back into a 'see food' diet. Just remember
the willpower you are realizing now never leaves. Eat the right foods. Cut out the
culprits(hormones, chemicals), study nutrition, etc...I love researching while MCing
and it certainly sounds like you are on the right trail...you may like to check out my old posts of some of the things I researched or ranted(ha)... some of them
are quite logical...a few? ok 2% ! Alright ,I know of one for sure :P
happy trails...! Happy May Day!
Just sticking my nose in....Detour
