Nuts

In book one it suggests that no more than 2 ounces of nuts be used in the diet.

I have read that nuts contain something called enzyme inhibitors... which from what I understand is worse than cooked food, because cooked food has no enzymes... where as the enzyme inhibitors in raw nuts block the enzymes our bodies create to digest the Nuts. Making it harder on the digestion system.

My understanding is that if the nuts are soaked, they become digestable because the enzyme inhibitors are removed through germination... and in thier place enzymes become availible making it easier to digest them.

Do you recommend germinating the nuts before eating them? if not why?
