Resolution and a note of gratefulness
I have some good news as a sort of resolution to the ear infection saga my family has experienced this week.
I took the boys in to see a new family practitioner today. He's actually a friend of mine, a Christian homeschooling father of five, and my oldest daughter used to babysit his kids when they were little. I knew he would be cool with me being more into a holistic approach to my family's health care, and I was able to tell him what I had done to try to care for my boys' infections naturopathically before consulting him as an allopath. I feel safe and peaceful using him as my backup doctor. That's an answer to prayer.
Micah does indeed have a sinus infection, and Joshua, an ear infection. The wonderful news is that Joshua's ear drum did not rupture! The doctor said what had actually happened was that Joshua's membrane had developed a blister on it, and the blister had burst, causing the discharge I saw. But, the membrane was clearly intact upon examination. Praise God!
The boys do require antibiotics "along with all the other stuff [I] am already doing," and will be soon on the mend.
I want to take a brief moment to publically thank Tony, Luella, and the sweet folks at Utopia Silver Supplements for working with me during this time. All of you went above and beyond and I want you to know I really appreciate all the effort you put into helping me when at times I was torn as to what was the best course of action to take for my boys.
It has been, and remains, my joyful honor to be considered y'alls friend.
With much love and gratefulness,
Donna in Waco, Texas
