Brain aneurysm

My stepson, 19 year old, healthy physically, mentally, and emotionally, recently had an episode we believe to have been a brain aneurysm. He had been having some severe abdominal pain, and a few nights ago while he was sleeping, experienced a severe, splitting headache, unlike any normal headache. He just lay there in pain with his eyes shut. After it subsided, he was still really sensitive to any sounds or lights. Lately, his ability to memorize, concentrate, and comprehend what someone is saying to him, has been diminished. He has been to a medical doctor, who took blood for testing, and has scheduled a brain scan. Does this sound to any of you like he experienced a brain aneurysm or something else? We would prefer a non evasive treatment. Can anyone suggest any natural treatments, such as nutrition, herbs, vitamins, minerals, supplements, or other natural methods to treat this problem? Thank you for your help and suggestions.
