Apologies accepted. I'm just trying to do my best for my mother. I'm sure she'd have more options if she had something 'simple' like breast cancer. Liver/pancreatic cancer diagnoses scare doctors I think. Very few doctors are familiar with appendix cancer either way so my mother really has nothing to lose and much to gain from alternative treatments. Plus she's on medicaid/medicare and doesn't get immediate access to all the 'latest' treatments. Gives me time to do my research. I do think a lot of what goes into the death rates after a 'six months to live' diagnosis is mental. My mother is very positive and in good spirits so she has that going for her.
