I my own case, I have found excessive epithelial cell production [immunity-related] late night observation showed eosinophils [produce many nasty chemicals].
Chemical testing showed very elevated levels of nitrates and nitrites and ammonnia levels were often through the roof.

The "white stuff" is highly active epithelial cells--which continue to grow aggressively in vitro, also producing large amounts of antimicrobial compounds. Very little bacterial growth occurs, for quite a long time.
It is therefore indicative of internal infection which could be stomach, duodunum, liver etc...
Yeast presents differently. It is more "cakey" and can cause bleeding when sloughed off.
I have found normal levels of yeasts, but never enough to present disease state. I have never grown a culture of yeast from tongue scraping. Shroom Tweet
