Re: should i get mirena

I have had my mirena since July 2007. Up until a week a go I thought it was the best thing that I did. Stopped my heavy HEAVY periods, my cramping, my nausea, my headaches and my shocking pms. I ended up with little or no periods. It was great. Then about a week ago I started putting a few of my "problems" together and instead of getting 2 + 2 = 4 I realise 2 + 2 = BAD MIRENA.

I found this site after seeing MANY doctors with what was "wrong" with me. They couldn't conclusively come up with an answer so I turned to the internet for a self diagnosis.

I put into google search, swelling throat and tongue, moody and bloated. It sent me to this site. I then realised that all these symptoms, plus hair loss, lack of labido, numb brain, urinary infections, thrush, plus many more syptoms that I had all seem to point to MIRENA. I conferred with 2 of the doctors that I saw and they concluded that this was the case. So much so, one of them wanted this site for future reference as my symptons (complaints) baffled him.

I am getting mine removed TODAY at 1pm and I just can't wait to find life again.

My advice... do a LOT of research on other alternative before selecting Mirena. There are a lot out there - and finally - Good Luck!

Cheers
Sue
