I agree, I have had the same problem in that people living with me tend to not smell my odor and therefore conclude that I have it all in my head! The reality is that they are use to it and therefore fail to sense the mal-odor. My older sister who has a very strong sense of smell even was unable to smell my odor when she lived with us.
Now here comes the proof for the above statements. My older sister recently moved out to another state (job related) and so she is only able to visit once a month. Every single time she visits us, she cover her nose when sitting near me (all the time 100%), my parents have approached her to ask if she smells any odor coming from me, but she lies and say no not at all! I can’t believe this she is trying to me nice to me but indirectly she is making be go crazy :-(...
Also wanted to add this in that when ever I pass a odorous area (example indoors (bathroom) or outdoors (garbage truck)) MY BODY IS ABLE TO KEEP THAT SCENT WITH ME FOR THE WHOLE DAY!!! Making my problem even worse...I know it sounds crazy but this TMAU thing is a bizarre disease.
