I had trouble getting used to the feet discomfort thing in the beginning as well. I think that you do get used to it to an extent. I found that my big woolly sheep skin slippers work best for me. But if I am doing a long session and being totally inverted, it still bothers my feet and ankles a bit. But the benefits are so wonderful, it isn't enough to stop me inverting.
