2. LOCATION. For the last 18 years: Jakarta,Indonesia.
3. COUNTRY OF BIRTH. Indonesia.


4. ETHNICITY. Asian (Chinese)


5. AGE/SEX. 18/Male


6. DURATION OF CONDITION. three and a half years


7. DIETS. in the past two weeks:vegetarian. I drink a lot of water.

8. ALLERGIES. I do not have any common allergy.
9. BATHROOM USE. Up to around 18 years old, twice a day.

10. EXERCISE REGIMEN. Running(about three miles a day)
11. PERCEIVED SINGLE CAUSE. I believe my condition is caused by an imbalance in the gut flora or bacteria.


12. GENERAL CONDITIONS. In my case, almost everything I eat produce the odor. I think rice is one of the culprits.


13. TREATMENTS. has been trying the vegetarian diet and running 'til death to sweat out the toxins or whatever bad from my body. Perfumes makes the whole class like a nazi camp filled with hazardous gas.
14. HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS. Dermatologists I have seen so far think that the problem is external. But I think it's internal because the diet affect the odour.

15. WORST MISCONCEPTIONS. A lot of people in the forums seem to mix Strong Body Odor and Fecal Body Odor . I think regular BO smells more like sweat and come from hyperactivity of the sweat glands, whereas FBO results from abnormal performance of necessary functions in the GI tract. We are born with BO, but FBO sets in later in life after an unknown thing happened to us.




16. WORST REACTION. The people around me will sneeze, cough, or shut their noses. No comments so far, just some stares and fake smiles.

17. EMPLOYMENT. Medical student.

18. APPROPRIATE JOBS. Pharmaceutical companies.


19. SHORT TERM GOALS. Study,study, and study.


20. HOBBIES. Reading, watching movies.

21. NOTES. I really wish we could find a way to get the media on our side so we can get some help in battling this monster.
