We are going thru the same thing in my household. My youngest 2 I know for sure have pinworms. They were given a prescription tablet to take about 2 weeks ago. They are due for another this Friday. The rest of us took Reese's pinworm medicine to be safe. I don't think the tablets did anything. My kids look like they still have alot of worms in their stool, and I have found a few on their bottom when they wake in the morning. I ordered a family pack of Humaworm for us all to take since it also kills eggs, not just the worms themselves. I wash everything everyday in hot water and make sure the children sleep in tight fitting pajama bottoms. I have read everything I can about them lately since the doctors don't really tell you much besides not to worry they can't hurt you, just annoy you. I became really concerned because my daughter acted like she had got some inside her girl parts. She was waking up at night screaming and holding herself. She was treated for a UTI, but I'm pretty sure it was from the worms. She is sleeping better this week but I am still worried about her. I'm hoping the Humaworm will help them. I hate that they are going thru this. They are 2 and 3 years old. Can't give you any advise about your 5 month old, but just wanted to let you know you are not alone in this. GOOD LUCK!!
